During my 11th-grade break, I had an enriching internship at Tsinghua University’s Quantum Dot Spectrometry And Sensing Device Laboratory. I worked as a research assistant under Prof. Lan Yin. I was involved in designing an implantable biosensor to detect cytokine storm and inflammation markers. I also got the opportunity to utilize the Magnetron Sputtering machine for gold and chromium sputtering.

This experience not only deepened my understanding of the subject but also enhanced my practical skills in the field of research. It was truly a valuable learning opportunity that broadened my scientific horizons！

At this GOAT engineering academy at Penn, I learned to programmed ESP32 microcontroller to control LEDs, servos, and acoustic detection with PWM and oscilloscope. Designed robot orchestra with Servo Motors, 3D printed/laser-cut gear sets, MOSFETs, and PWM in output voltage with 2+ rhythms––Symphony, My Heart Will Go On. Lead vocalist in both songs. Encountered great professors: Professor Mark Yim, Nick, and Pat.

China National Youth Space Innovation Competition, 2024

During the competition, our project is aiming to solve the communication problems in Long – distance Deep – space Exploration. We’ve studied the challenges in this field and came up with the idea of building a “satellite chain” of relay satellites. We went through crucial stages like plan demonstration, index design, structure design, product construction, and debugging and testing.

Our hard work led to winning the first prize in the national competition. Moreover, I was very lucky to present the idea to Mr. Lehao Long, Lead Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Chief Designer of the Long March series of rockets!

2024 VEX Robotics Asia Open Competition High Stakes: National First Prize, Build Award, Tournament 3rd Place.

I always love creation. Starting from the fall in 2022, I led the design & construction of custom steel-structured car from scratch. We did the road-testing when we finished. With recording the data and optimization, we launched the prototype in Spring 2024.

Assessing the Effectiveness of Physical Activity Interventions in the Treatment of Substance Use Disorders

Abstract
This paper examines the effectiveness of exercise in treating substance use disorders. With the increasing number of drug addicts and limitations of existing treatments, exercise emerges as a potential solution. In the early stage of drug use (bingeing), exercise activates the same reward pathway as drugs by increasing dopamine concentrations and binding receptors, reducing initial vulnerability. During chronic use, it protects glutamatergic receptors and restores brain plasticity. In the withdrawal stage, it mitigates symptoms like anxiety and depression. Exercise is cost-effective and applicable in all addiction phases. However, more research is needed to optimize exercise types, intensities, and frequencies for a more effective treatment system.
